Last Day is a Good Day

There is something comforting in the thought that the last day of 2007 is a Good Day. The moon is in Libra which talks about two's. Compromise and negotiation are the key words for Libra. This is a day to partner up, stay close and clink glasses. Even if your only relationship, to speak of, is with your dog then pour an extra glass of canine bubbly for he or she. Watch the Ball drop, croon with Mr. Clark and get in your comfy clothes. Stay safe and together.

Hello and good bye. Endings and beginnings. Leave the voice of 2007 behind and listen to what the New Year has to promise. Thank the higher power for the opportunity to experience another year's entrance. Stay aware. Love is the answer.

Have the best day every day.

Last Weekend of 2007

The last weekend of 2007 is here. How did that happen so fast? There is hardly any dust on my New Year's Eve hat.

Friday is a Good Day with the Moon in Virgo. Virgo asks us for details. Be sure you can handle criticism as you will surely find yourself under the microscope of life over the next few days. The past week has been explosive. The winter solstice brought us a Full Moon that conjuncts with Mars. We were able to see the red planet sitting next to Mother Moon. I remarked that I wondered what would happen to a prominent female figure in world government? Yesterday Bhutto was assassinated. A heads up in the world of dissent and unrest and more validation that the ancients were on to something.

One of our Kunati authors: Red Evans, author of On Ice, is dying. He is in hospice as I write this. I never met Red, but enjoyed his participation in our Kunati author emails and his humor. His reaction to the progress of his cancer was that "his cancer had cancer." For an extraordinary read go to Amazon and buy Red's book and honor his life; it is a writer's life after all. Cheers, Red.

Love is the answer at the end of the day. Have the best day every day.

Good Day

I hope that the stress of the holiday is not making you grind your teeth. As calm as I try to be there is a point when it gets to me. That is the moment I know that everything is not gong to get done, and who cares? Christmas will come and go whether I have all the gifts wrapped or not. Speaking of wrapping, the moon in Aries is very passionate and very quick. Tomorrow you can accomplish quite a lot. Wrap, shop, bake or whatever you need to do. People have attitude and others are aggressive. No one wants to wait in line to see Santa, so be mindful of the pushing and shoving. Count Tuesday as a Good Day and Wednesday is Good except for a few hours between 2:30 and 4:30pm. Take stock of your plans from Wednesday forward. The Taurus Moon will bring what we desire. It spends money and lots of it. The Winter Solstice comes on Saturday...the day after a No Friday. I do not want to spoil things but Friday is pretty much of a write off. The full Moon in Cancer is on Sunday and the Sun enters Capricorn on Saturday. A very busy Cosmic time.

I spoke to a woman whose husband is quite ill with cancer. She was open about the tragic turn of events in their lives but also willing to share the odd humorous moments. There are times she said when things are so awful that you say this can't be happening, but it is. A friend of their family started a Secret Santa and since Thanksgiving each day a gift is left at their front door or in their mailbox.. This random act of kindness is a way of extending the season and to tell this family they are loved. One of the gifts left anonymously was a fart toy. One of those obnoxious gadgets that annoying little kids love to play with. Well this woman's husband found the gift very amusing, and he asked his wife if when planning his memorial service that she would hand out fart toys. "Make sure everyone has a good laugh..." he said.

While we stay aware and stay hopeful, we must keep our sense of humor.

Have the best day everyday....

Weekend is Good

The Northeast got a blanket of white and expects more. New Englanders love to crab about the weather but we are hard pressed to move away, something about the seasons changing that roots us here.
The Aquarius Moon continues to keep us wondering what will happen next and the short blip on Saturday is between 7am and just before 8:30am. Pisces Moon takes over and we can all benefit from extending kindness. This will be a perfect weekend to practice some Secret Santa giving. But watch for an excess of drinking on the down side of this moon. Pisces tends to drown in the prospect of escaping reality. Otherwise, compassion is on board for the weekend. Giving and not expecting to receive is how to get the most joy. Pisces takes us into Monday morning so even beginning the week will have opportunities for kindness or hangovers.

I do not watch TV. That whole statement bears writing about, but not today. Because of the bad weather here, I turned on the TV to see what was being predicted. I happened to catch the Montel Williams show while browsing the channels for news. Of course, it was not a coincidence that his topic was women who had cancer. Among those interviewed one had passed away in 2003, her name; Barbara Tarbox. She was from Edmonton, Canada ( home of one of our brilliant Kunati authors). Barbara died of lung cancer. She lived less than a year after her diagnosis but during that time she spoke to over 50,000 young people about NOT smoking. Her message was to stay aware, listen and stay healthy. This one's for you Barbara...the message is still getting out there.

Have the best day everyday.

Thursday is a Good Day

In the waning hours of a very long No Day space I am looking forward to the Aquarius Moon. Perhaps we may not be well informed or maybe we'll have to prepare ourselves for surprises but any or all of that sounds like good things. If you are planning on time with friends this is an excellent time. People are in general more friendly and willing to accommodate. This all for one-one for all feeling remains until early Saturday morning. The Aquarius Moon may not appear structured but it is, even surprises are the planned kind. Nothing will be done that has not been well thought out.

Our shopping here on the East Coast is often done at Stop and Shop. This rather large chain has an aisle dedicated to the purchase of cookware. In this season of baking and eating, eating and baking I have found myself (more than once) perusing that aisle. Next time you are searching out the latest and greatest in bakeware check out Alfay Designs/Farberware. These folk are donating 10% of their profits to benefit Komen for the Cure when you purchase a pink spill proof travel mug. Hey who among us does not take their java or tea on the road? Stay aware, stay healthy, stay connected.

Have the best day every day.

Mixed Morning...

Here on the East Coast it is still dark. Let me add, cold and dark with that rain-kind-of-sleet-thing-happening. Oh well, just layers into the Mixed Morning message. Happy go-lucky Sagittarius Moon is sliding off the radar about 10:30am and the blank spot will remain until about 2pm. This leads me to suggest that everyone take a long lunch. Eating is a good thing to do during the void. However, we are all not in a position to open our lunchboxes for four plus hours...with that in mind I suggest we try to ignore anyone who has a complaint or asks a question. Nothing will come out of any energy spent answering or listening. Take note that things are moving very slowly today. This phenomenon has become more evident everyday. The act of repeating is a daily do. Saying this is simply a reminder that things won't improve until the end of January. As for handling the day, after 2pm think business as usual. Capricorn Moon takes over and allows us to follow the rules and the traditional ways of accomplishing our tasks. Capricorn has a dry sense of humor and will not even crack a smile. Your job is to laugh and appreciate. After 7pm tomorrow night there is a huge blank spot. Yikes! What will we all do until Thursday. Don't throw Wednesday away, but also don't agree to anything, don't sign on a dotted line, don't make any promises...okay, I think you get it.

I try to follow my own advice about staying aware and over the weekend I was baking Christmas bread. Yum. The recipe requires yeast. At the top of each yeast packet was a swirling pink ribbon with a message: Bake for the Cure. Okay folks, tis' the most wonderful time of the year, let's get some seriously delicious smells coming out of your ovens. Do it for the cure, do it for the love of your family, do it to stay healthy and do it to stay aware.

Have the best day every day.

Friday is a No Day...

Just what we need in December is a day when we can't rely on a plan or anything we've written on a list. After 5am, before the sun rises we will be set afloat on a sea of whatevers. The best use of energy is to "go with the flow." Act like nothing matters and wait until Saturday to carry out anything even mildly important. Activities will take on their own life and probably take you on a side trip you didn't expect.
Saturday and Sunday are more productive and people are in good humor. There is the need to overdue, but in a good way. These are the days of Santa Claus and abundance. Share the wealth and spread good cheer. The New Moon in Sagittarius hovers in the sky just out of sight on Sunday. This moon allows us to start something new, begin again...

I cut out a pharmaceutical ad that said "Bald is Beautiful." It has a photo of a young woman bald from chemotherapy. The cover of my book, Belly Of The Whale, also depicts a young woman bald from chemotherapy. Although a pretty woman, she appears not so on the cover. This ad I mentioned goes on to say that cancer can be ugly, but not the people who fight it. The specific organization is "Bald is Beautiful" founded to help cancer patients feel beautiful. Tell someone you know and/or love, who is battling this disease, they are beautiful to you.

Stay aware. Have the best day everyday.

How do you feel about a Mixed Day?

I hope you are not one of those people that checks their horoscope before putting their feet on the floor. The cosmos flows in and around us but does not prevent us from living our life. Having said that let me suggest that you wrap up (the rest of those presents) negotiations by 9:30am. Our Libra moon is going off the stage for a set change. When she returns about 1:30pm she'll be wearing sunglasses and looking quite mysterious. The Scorpio moon doesn't tell more than you need to know (if at all). The cloak of disguise and mystery appeals to this moons logic and intensity. How do you use this kind of energy? If you are searching for answers this is a good day. If you are working within a corporate environment Scorpio loves a crowd (easy to skulk and hear secrets). The negotiations have ended let's get down to the nitty-gritty. How long do you have? Until early-early Friday morning and then just coast into the weekend. If you have a line-up of things-to-do on Friday, please don't waste a minute worrying. There is no plan on Friday, the moon is off in search of itself. Use the No Day rule all day. What will happen will happen, whether you are present or not.

The question of cancer and dying has come across my desk. The kind of subject that one should clear their desk for. I am not an expert on either subject. I am a mere mortal, destined like everyone else to pass from this planet. Remember no one gets off alive. So where is the controversy in this? Maybe the controversy is with a higher power. Perhaps we can rail at God for hand-picking us or a loved one to have cancer. But the truth is, where does that get us? Belly Of The Whale has been described as a novel that gives hope to all who suffer and want to give up.
Churchill said: "Never give up, never give up, never give up, never, never, never..."
Now there is an expert.

Stay aware. Have the best day everyday.

Let's Begin The Week with a Really Good Day...

Weekend posting fell off the list. Sometimes the "to do's" are just more than one person can handle. I advised keeping close attention to details on my web page but neglected to take my own advice. Now that all the T's are crossed and I's dotted do (I) we feel better. Ah, yes for about five minutes then something else comes onto the radar and it all begins again.
The week begins with a Libra Moon and this always invites negotiation and compromise. How does that work into your world?
These little tidbits I offer are just suggestions but perhaps the use of this energy will come in handy in business or in a relationship. Libra is all about partnership and doing for two. Tables for two, two-by-two and one-on-one conversation are top of the list. Libra has a difficult time making decisions so if you need to choose perhaps you might invite or enlist the help of someone you trust or love. Libra Moon takes us through until Wednesday morning at which time just about 9:30am you might want to refrain from anything too significant. After 1:30pm look for what you can't find. Answers are deep and found only after much research. For those wanting to uncover the unknown, today is a good day.

For those who "believe" this is the month to practice random acts of kindness. To give is far better than to receive. Malls and department stores may come and go but the real gifts can be found in your heart. Hold the sweetness of this life in your hands and remember how fragile it is. Stay aware.

Have the best day everyday.

What about Caregivers?

I do a lot of talking about not giving up hope, about staying aware and about supporting friends and family that are battling cancer. So what about the caregivers? Lest we forget those folk, these are the family members or friends that heed this advice or know instinctively what they must do. The main character in Belly Of The Whale is married to an endearing man named Jack Emerald. He is an incredibly sensitive caregiver. He puts his feelings and emotions away, keeps these out-of-sight, brings them out only when he is alone. Like Jack, there are many people caring for someone they love. What can you do to help? Give a caregiver the day off. Step up and step into their shoes for a few hours, a day, or a week. Let a caregiver remember what it is to get stuff off his or her chest, become their place to vent, be a good listener. Caregivers need to be reminded that they will survive, that life has twists and turns and that no matter what the outcome they as caregivers, must stay healthy for them self and for their loved ones.

Remember we are under the Good Day umbrella. Whatever the weather the sun is out with the Leo Moon. In case you wondered about all the drama, if you aren't using that tool you haven't been reading Good Days. Pretend if you must. The best actors are the ones that act like nothing is happening. Met anyone who resembles this description over the last few days?

Mid-week a Good Day

I get to wondering sometimes just how many of my blog readers there are out there. I'm not great with numbers so it is all a mystery. My thought extends to musing over the fact that perhaps no one really gives a fig about a Good Day versus a Not-so-Good Day. Frustrating, if I think about it too much. I am certainly not out to convert anyone...you either get it or you don't.
With that in mind let's talk about Wednesday. Once again most of us slept through the blip that sends the moon off the radar. By 8:30 am on Wednesday, the Moon is happily in the sign of Leo and stays there until about noon on Friday. People will be more expressive, more dramatic, more all about being the center of attention. Leo Moon asks us to have fun, to put a bit of sunshine in our lives. If you don't mind the bright lights and the applause needed during the next few days, you will do well. Children and lovers figure into the equation. The watch word is kick things up...get out there.

Writing about breast cancer does not make me an expert. Lots of research went into the background of my story, that and some personal experience involving someone else with the disease and thankfully not myself. I cannot repeat often enough that cancer patients need our love and support. We have to put our selves aside and focus on what can be done for this person we love. Belly Of The Whale is about the loss of hope. Our job in real life is to keep hope alive and well.

Have the best day every day.

Good-good Day

Yawn and stretch this morning...the blip occured while we were sleeping. Since about 6am we've been covered by a Cancer Moon. This protective reflection is almost as good as a Taurus Moon. Remember that is our ask-for-and-receive time, the cancer moon is our take-care-of-me moon. If you are considering anything to do with family, today and tomorrow are the best. For real estate or property transactions these two days are favorable. But remember not to sign anything that relates to new deals until the end of January.

Everyone should still feel the peace of being thankful. Despite having to spend time with relatives which can be trying, and down right irritating, we still need to say thank you. Without those people that we are bound to my genetics and blood we would not be who we are. Friends too, come under that umbrella, but we get to pick them and as the old saying tells us: that is a good thing.

Exercise is important. Don't you feel like a stuffed bird today. Begin a routine because you are not going to get slimmer over the next several weeks. Stay aware...say thank you.

Have the best day every day...

Full Moon Weekend

Did you look out a window last night? Did you glance up at the sky during a night walk, plane landing, car ride or train stop? The moon is waxing. A term applied when the moon approaches its fullness. The landscape is bright and when the house lights are off, the illumination is startling. The majesty of the universe reflects back to us through the full moon. Our full moon will be in Gemini beginning Saturday at 6:30am. For those reading this before that time please note that our favorite "asking-for-things" moon in Taurus went off the scanner about 2pm on Friday. For those shopping Black Friday, good luck and save your receipts. The Full Moon in Gemini takes over the screen on Saturday and most of us will feel a bit restless and more talkative. Watch how people use their hands over the next few days. Talking with your hands is all about a moon in Gemini.

If you began a project or any type of planning at the last new moon (November 9th) you should see some fruit borne at this time. The seed you planted should be showing signs of life.

On a personal note the weekend looks quite interesting for me. There are several alignments that resonate with sweet tones. I don't fortell the future (just offer possibilities) and I don't do well guiding myself (too close to the subject-in-question) but I'll be curious to see what happens next. Speaking of the next thing to happen...just when we think we know...oops something else happens. The adage to live in the moment does have validity. I am not suggesting that you blow off tomorrow, but just reminding everyone not to go so far out into the future that you miss today.

Cancer figures into the telling of my story in "Belly Of The Whale". I have been blessed to date with only bearing witness and not being a victim to cancer. There is no script for cancer, no do this or do that and follow this recipe. Cancer does not discriminate, age makes no difference. The best we can do is stay aware, support those around us, the ones we love, and the ones we befriend who must battle the beast.

Have the best day of your life, today.

Linda

Got to have faith...

First off, Wednesday is a Good Day. Moon in Aries is still with us and continues to prod us to pick up speed. Impatient people are everywhere, in line, in cars, and behind the checkout counter. There is no way to avoid any of this frenzy unless we stay home and pull the covers up over our head. Use the spontaneity of Aries to get something creative going.
Thanksgiving ushers in a Taurus Moon and we all love that down-to-earth feeling from the mother moon. With Taurus we can be assured of eating too much and cooking a little too rich and sweet. Desserts are the favorite. Be sure to try each one.

What's up with keeping the faith? My spin on faith is: you got to have it. No matter how impossible your life seems, somehow, someway you have to put on your "grippers" and hang on. These are difficult times...garner all your reserves and don't lose hope. Without hope, there is nothing. To Give Up Hope Is To Give Up Life...

Sunday starts off a Good Week...

This week starts off with more compassion towards our fellow man (and woman). Moon in Pisces asks us to be charitable, to give. For those of us in the United States the celebration of Thanksgiving is on Thursday. Why not begin the week by thinking of something to be thankful for everyday. Don't put the pressure on, just find those small things that make you smile or brighten your day. Thank a bagger in a grocery store...thank your boss for giving you Friday off...play a kindness forward.
The Pisces moon lasts through early Tuesday morning. If you want sympathy, Monday is a good day to get it. If you are into finger violins, Monday is a Good Day for complaints.

Checking out the site "Save 2nd Base" is really interesting the tee-shirt is worth a look and a buy. Remember to stay healthy and to stay aware. Someone, a friend or family member may need you to understand, need your support. Be there for them.

Good Saturday

Okay so here it is the weekend and we've got a Good Saturday. Maybe a little quirky, maybe a little-go-left kind of day, but none-the-less Good. Aquarius Moon asks us to be tolerant of others, to help our neighbor by not forgetting that we are all in this together.
Went to see the film "The Ultimate Gift" last night...a sleeper, art house, Saturday matinee in Topeka kind of film, but a film with a message. A very Aquarius Moon message...if you have nothing or if you have everything it is worthless unless you have one true friend and others to share it with. Give and you will receive...your rewards may not be tangible. Can you live with that?

Check out a site, search around until you find the "Save Second Base" project related to Breast Cancer. Pink Tee shirts with two baseballs on the front and a Good message. If you are looking to give find your niche. This could be it. Stay aware every month, not just October.

No Day Thursday...

What ever you have been saving up to do, don't do it on Thursday. Excuse me but things are not going to go the way you planned, no matter what. On these No Days I just let things happen...do without doing, which is actually a good exercise for life in general. If you get up late, arrive late, forget your keys, or fall asleep in class it won't matter in the big picture. Today no one is taking notes. Once you get the hang of No Days they become more interesting. Do not go on an interview, sell your house, sign important papers or ask your sweetheart to marry you. Remember we are now feeling the pull of our actions internally. Watch where you put your feet, don't speed, or argue with authority. Quotas for speeding tickets will be up and over the top. After 6:30pm the Aquarius Moon takes over. Expect a few surprises and anything that involves a group or organization should be successful. Aquarius is friends with everyone, tolerance is the by word. The next few days are about collective emotions and what is good for all.

With Mars retrograde this is a good time to make routine health check-up appointments. Problems can be remedied in areas of the body that have been a problem before. Stay healthy...stay aware.

Good Day to read

Except for misplacing stuff I'd say it was a Good Day. I usually don't personalize my posts but I have to think that I am not the only one in a constant state of "looking" for something. Not life or death things just annoying whatevers that I decide I need and know that I had them last month or six weeks ago but now , poof, gone. This I 'd say is part of the slowing down of Mars in readiness for the backward dance until the end of January. If we have to go on these search missions as a daily exercise I will resort to the head banging mentioned in yesterdays blog.

Moon in Capricorn keeps emotions in check. There are no meltdowns allowed during this time. Wednesday this moon remains and wimps and cry babies will not fare well. Keeping that "stiff-upper-lip"is what it is all about.

We shouldn't take our selves too seriously even with a Capricorn moon. Remember to laugh at yourself and to find the humor in life even at the toughest moments. Laughter is the best medicine. Dole out this elixir to those around you. Capricorn Moon has a dry wit. Side splitting one liners are the funniest.

Remember to read. Kunati has a selection for everyone. From fiction to memoir, Kunati has it all.

Tuesday is a Good Day

Hopefully all of us are sleeping when the moon does its space walk. After 8am Tuesday morning we can go back to making money even though all things bullish won't turn around until mid-April. To those who find that news unsettling, remember that life is cyclical. Back track through history and you'll see how our current circumstances are in some way being replicated with those, say thirty years ago.
We are not very imaginative after all...fashion, music, food and politics, to name a few, come back around about every thirty years. This may get you thinking about cycles. Think first of two year cycles. We base a lot of what we do on a two year turn-around. Then there are seven year cycles...these are the strongest and often the most testing of all the cycles. The twelve year cycle brings us good fortune and the twenty-nine-thirty year cycle brings us full circle.

Perhaps that is enough food for thought and we should work the energy of the next two Good Days in our favor because these are the last few days before Mars goes backward. This motion only appears to occur to us here on earth. Believe it or not, that is the challenge. Just watch your head during the next several weeks, some may be tempted to resort to head-banging due to frustration.

Cancer does not discriminate. It makes no distinction between race, religion , poverty or wealth. Stay healthy...stay aware.

Have the best day every day.

Thank Goodness for a Good Day

Yesterday was a blur. Not terrible, but none-the-less a little bit trying on the nerves. The moon slipped into Sagittarius about 8pm last night and the feeling of breaking the surface began, being able to breath and all that.
So what to expect today? People should be in better humor, but remember that Sagittarius can be brutally honest and will say things (with a laugh) that can cut to the core. Oh, but the Sagittarius moon doesn't mean to hurt with words but to be honest is not always to be kind. Try not to chop anyone up with the truth...please use the optimistic side of this moon to smooth over your conversation. The truth is good but use your higher sense of intelligence to put it out there. The Sagittarius moon brings excellent days (through Monday) to travel, have jury duty, try a case, expound on your beliefs, watch football, go hiking. publish a book, go public or do anything that expands your mind and your horizons.

Now what about shopping? Let's get down to it. Remember the window theory until the 15th? Today and tomorrow are the best of the best. If you've got a list, go for it...wrap later when everyone else is caught up in backward Mars energy.

FYI: There is a wine label out of California called: Cleavage Creek...honest. It is bottled by a man married nearly fifty years whose wife died of breast cancer. The label has different women brautifully dressed, each a breast cancer survivor. So my thought is this: check it out...buy a few bottles of red. Ten percent of the proceeds go towards the Cure. Have a glass...not the whole bottle...be sensible...stay aware.

Belly Of The Whale now has a blog on the Kunati site. As a matter of fact, all of the Kunati authors are officially blogging. What a Good Day to begin...Moon in Sagittarius is bona fortuna.

Friday...Good Day

We may have all awoke scratching our heads. The mysteries of yesterday still sitting top-of-the-mind.
So will we fare any better today? Moon in Scorpio sends a mysterious message. We have to dig deep for answers. Most of us are too busy to take the time so for some the mystery will remain.
Suggestion for those more determined: Remember you can fly. (Excuse me?) Well I mean there is a way up and over, and, like I said, you can FLY. Another suggestion is this: Get what you need to get done by this evening because we are heading for a big fat No Day that will blanket tomorrow. From about 10:30pm tonight until 8pm tomorrow night and then you might just want to crawl under that blanket. No Days are not that depressing, you can use the energy to do the most mundane of tasks and to plan. Don't expect more from the day than necessary and know that anything said or done is not written in stone.

Scorpio sends a message regarding health. There could be something deep inside, something lurking that you can't see. Not to scare you but if your inner voice has been telling you the same thing...now is the time to check it out. Stay well. Stay aware.

Another Good for Two Day

I suppose the idea of going two-by-two is not new. Noah and God had a similar one-on-one conversation regarding the Ark and its passengers. In a manner of speaking we can all learn from Noah's course of action. Two is better than one. The Libra moon insists on partnership. Continue, or carry on, using the two rule all of Wednesday. When Thursday appears the Scorpio Moon will stare down upon us beginning about 7:30am. All that business of relationships and not going it alone will wash out to sea with the intensity of this moon in the deep water sign of Scorpio. Prepare ahead for a rather intense day on Thursday. Do not take any "garbage" from anyone. Scorpio does not play cute like Libra, does not negotiate like Libra or try to make the peace like Libra. Bottom line is: do not try to BS your way out of anything. Scorpio moon will see right through your thin excuses.

There is a New Moon late Friday night in Scorpio. Use it to begin something. Projects that have to do with research, undercover, marine biology, mystery or unsolved anything could be on the list of try this or that.

Use this moon's energy to be healthy. A medical appointment under this moon will be very thorough.

Two Good Days

Remember this is a duet of Good Days. Moon in Libra loves cheek-to-cheek dancing. Plan the next two days around that kind of activity, even if it means having one-to-one conversations with your boss. Start the week with a Mixed Day...

We all walked around today just missing walls. The time change always puts us a bit out-of-step. The extra hour is sweet but then the day seems to be in slow motion. By Tuesday most of my clocks should be displaying the correct time. Thank goodness for those genius cyberspacelings for changing my computer and cell phone.

So how much did you cross off your list? What a feeling of satisfaction we all got this weekend. Monday begins with that same "list" energy but fades out about 1pm. The afternoon is better left to chance than to any specific plan. Wait for the moon to change over to Libra just after 6:30pm to say yes or no to anything. Libra moon is all about two. Double everything, duets are highlighted and partnership is at its best. Do something nice for your favorite person...conversation works best in a one-to-one style. This mode of energy carries us along Tuesday and Wednesday. Sort of like Valentine's Days in November.

What did you eat today? We are what we eat. This is true. Be mindful of your diet. Stay healthy. Someone loves you, do it for your self and for them.

Good Day...Good Night

Okay Mercury went forward and it was evident by the amount of people talking on their cell phones. I started to count and gave up because of the sheer numbers and doing the math in my head. There was so much to say today. People talked to strangers just to release sentences trapped in their heads for the last three weeks. Traffic was also affected. More accidents. People just couldn't get out of the way fast enough. Not to put a blanket over all this renewed verbalization but as with most good things comes reality. Jung liked to deal with the term "shadow" and his use of shadow was more like the dark side (Darth Vadar). Shadow comes into play with our communication as well. We are out of the backward dance but in its shadow until the 18th of November. What does that mean? What began in or around the 11th of October will finalize about the 18th. Do with that what you will.

Today was a Good Day and tomorrow will be Good as well. The Virgo Moon waits until just after 8:30am to come on the scene. Before that you can make your lists (you will need them). Virgo moon loves details and crossing things off the list. So this weekend should be good for getting things accomplished.

Drink Green Tea it has lots of anti-oxidants. Just one way to stay healthy and fight the fight.

Have the best weekend...

Dancing forward on a Good Day

Get on your dancing shoes because today is the day the dance floor is available for forward motion. The supreme trickster(Mercury) got all his treats last night and is taking his bags of goodies and dancing forward tonight. Did you notice that today all the "stories" are about he said-she said? All that talk swirling backwards in our minds is gurgling up and out. Say it...mean it...be decisive...the window is open between the 2nd of November and the 15th...remember those Good Days to shop?...well, these are Good Days to talk as well. If you need to sign on the line, say hello, say good-bye, say I love you...say goodnight Gracie or some such DO IT during this almost two week period.

Today is a GOOD DAY...Leo Moon asks us to be expressive, go to the theater...have fun...dress up...wear a hat...all manner of ways to bring attention to self.

Now that the Pink Month Of October is behind us, we must keep our awareness level open...no slackers. Cancer knows no holidays, weddings, or birthdays. Stay healthy.

No..No Halloween...

Our wonderful Cancer Moon exits about 1pm today leaving all trick or treaters out there in the void. No worries. That Mamma of a Cancer Moon still has her arms around us and we'll be safe from ghoulish things.

Halloween is a great opportunity for all of us to "dress-up". An evening to venture over the border of normal and structure. When we get into costume our personality changes. Cute to sexy...skinny to muscle man. Whatever we what to be we can.... Venture over the line...Go outside the box...ring-a-door-bell. Don't, please, do anything stupid. In or out of costume, stupid stuff is not suggested. Dressing-up on Halloween is a chance to exercise another side of us that needs to have an adventure. All in good fun, of course.

This is the last day of breast cancer awareness month. Tomorrow we do not forget the pink ribbons...we need to stay aware, everyday for the sake of self, family and friends.

Moon brings a Good Day...Friends are family

The Moon brings us a Good Day. Cancer moon is all about being comfortable and family. This makes me think of all those friends that are family. The special people that come into our lives that do not share our name, our mother, or our father but they are sometimes closer than a sibling. For these folk we must consider our self blessed. Someone once said that if we have even one friend in a lifetime that it was a blessing. With this in mind I have a treasure chest of blessings because I have many friends. I hope that this wealth is shared by many. Keep your friends even when they move away, when they change jobs or disappear for awhile. Keep them close to your heart, for they support us on Good Days and Not-So-Good Days.

Autism has made the headlines again. Testing to discover Autism in our children is all about awareness. We have so much to be aware of...so much to be grateful for...juggling the two is not a chore.

Best Days to Go Shopping...

With the Holidays fast approaching...screaming down on us, the need to buy gifts is our mission. Who among us likes to return anything? I didn't hear a peep... If you are listening out there in blogville heed this next statement. Shop, shop, shop till you fall over and dead stop from November 2nd through November 15th. Ouch...you say...too early for die hard Christmas folk. Oh well...but Mercury is just set to go dancing forward and Mars is taking her place going backward. So, okay...you don't think that this illusion of backward stuff is in anyway serious enough to affect holiday shopping...hmmm...talk to me December 26th.

Monday is a Good Day until just before 4pm and gets better just before 9pm. The Red Sox will most likely have won the series and Boston fans will be having a spontaneous holiday. Believe...

The Moon in Cancer takes over until mid-day Wednesday. The moon likes being in this sign of the Zodiac because the moon is ruled by Cancer. Hence be sure to find what you need by way of comfort. Ask for what you need to attain comfort and make all the plans you like. Anything to do with property goes well.

In the land of the Red Sox...

Crossing over the Massachusetts border you can feel IT. You are immediately aware of the fever; the contagious enthusiasm that has taken over the state. The irrational Red disease that caused Mr. Giuliani to claim allegiance to the Bo Sox and sever his popularity in New York. Yankeeville. People wear Red Sox attire on their heads, as shirts or on other parts of their bodies. Cars are adorned in a similar fashion; there is no end to the display. If you cheer for another team here...do it with a body guard. No matter what your preference in teams...one is taken in by the spirit, by the very resonance of emotion, by the connection it has created. The joining of folk in an event such as baseball brings us to a higher level of understanding, of belief. Yankee fans included...there is something to be said for this kind of faith.

The moon is ducking out on us today. leaving us holding the ball and feeling like we are back peddling. No worries. After 8pm we'll get back into sync. Talk it up.

Keep yourself in the pink.

Good Day All Day...

Did you ever have those moments when you actually are having your cake and eating it too? I mean...what does that mean? Moon in Taurus, particularly at a full moon can bring you all you desire, no matter how brief. Gather those moments like flowers in a spring bouquet. They will last only a short time, but how wonderful each smells right now. Remember that Life is Good and this is a Good Day. The moon basks in the reflection of the sun and feels safe in the arms of the earth sign Taurus. Remember also, to give a nod to your non-entities...your angels, your cosmic protectors, because they are out there for you. Do not take anything or anyone for granted. Each day one of your "guides" is gifting you in some small way.

This is a lovely way to begin a weekend. Tomorrow all day is in a void but covered by the Taurus moon's cosmic umbrella. Don't begin anything new but do carry on with your plans. After 8pm Gemini takes over and that will set everyone into motion again. There will be noise and commotion and restless feet. Gemini doesn't stand still for very long. Going from here to there is on the menu for the balance of the weekend. Be safe whatever you do.

Talk to someone you love about being healthy. Don't wait until tomorrow, do it today. Cancer is a twelve month a year disease.

Astrology for your Protagonist

So you have written the great American novel and your protagonist is the next Gatsby, so how can you be sure? How about creating a birthday for your main character, including where, when and what time. With this information a horoscope can be calculated and bingo: here is the cosmic low down on your protagonist. I have done this for several characters in my novels, usually at a point where I believe them to be "real" enough to review their astrology. My findings have always amazed me and added more depth to my fictitious family. If you are the least bit curious about any of your characters use my website: www.celestialblueprints.com to send me their birth info.

Thursday has a Full Moon on the West Coast. Here on the East Coast the moon in Taurus will be full just after midnight on Friday morning. Full Moon's always bring out the howlers. Nothing is accomplished without drama and great exits. People on the planet churn-it-up. Emotions are high and emergency rooms are full. Thursday is a Mixed Day. In the East just after 5:30pm until 9pm the moon does its tight rope walk across the void. This will be a good time to relax. Don't buy anything if you can help it. Returns will be the results of impulse purchases.

Moon in Taurus gives us what we desire. Taurus is an earth sign. Money is often spent and lots of it. The moon is happy in Taurus so keep that feel good feeling through Friday.

Good Day

Today is a Good Day according to the cosmos. That being said what constitutes a good day. Opening your eyes and seeing your bedroom ceiling once again is a good way to begin. I read somewhere that you should have a picture, painting or something...perhaps a window with a view that your eyes settle on first thing. This or any of these should be comforting to your soul, so that you begin your day with a peaceful inner self. Please keep electronics out of your bedroom. The abundance of "plugged in" stuff in the one room we need to get rest is not conducive to this goal. Okay so you may need an alarm or something that reminds you to put your feet on the floor but everything else has to go. Trust me. You WILL sleep better.

The planet Mars is slowing down on his path preparing to take over Mercury's spot on the backward dance floor. If you like to dance or have entertained the thought, this may be a good time to begin. Dance studios should pick up students and although you may feel like "two-left-feet" you will learn and graduate dancing with the stars. Cosmic of course.

Keep yourself aware. Take care of the little stuff in your body that needs tending to. Once October ends it does not mean that we forget about Breast Cancer. Cancer is a twelve month a year disease.

The Gift of a Good Day

The energy of the Pisces Moon stays with us until about 4pm. Until the later part of today remember to use compassion when dealing with others. Hold tight to the knowledge that every day Good or Not-so-good is a gift. The very act of opening our eyes and being able to go out there again and do it all again is a gift. Trust yourself and what you know about yourself, if you can make the inner you better than do it. When Mars goes into his backward dance in a few weeks we will all feel the restraints of his energy, and there will be no where else to go but inside.

The Moon will slide into Aries just after 9pm. We are asked to speed things up, perhaps confrontation is the only way. Think of the stirring up as passion...passion for life. Think again what will you do with it? This passion.

October is counting down in days. Have you done all you can to help yourself and others be more aware of being healthy and extending yourself to help others be more conscious of breast cancer?

The power of playing it forward...

Sunday is winding down and with the exception of the hours between 3:30pm and 7pm when the moon shifted into Pisces it was a Good Day. Pisces Moon asks us to play it forward. Only kindness matters above all else. Pisces can extend and give too much but when healthy all of us can take time out to do a kindness for someone else. Our reward needn't be tangible. The satisfaction of knowing that we have changed another person's life, given someone else hope or given without expectation is enough. The Pisces moon will be with us until Tuesday afternoon. You have time to carry out this suggestion. Nothing will work better during this time then a little sacrifice.

While you are doing the above please remember to speak out on behalf of breast cancer awareness. Help others to live a healthy life.

Good Days Weekend

As the sun sets here in the East, some may be wondering what's up for the weekend. The good news is Good Days through Sunday until about 3:30pm. Do things you have not done before because the moon in Aquarius thrives on "different" and "exciting". For some the stress level could get turned up but only if you let it. Go left when everyone else goes right, take short cuts and fly a kite.
The past week has been difficult for many as the communication gliches have been one singular nightmare. We can not pull the covers up over our heads until Mercury goes direct. We have to keep on talking, writing, communicating despite tongue twisting and arm bending. For those caught in a tangle of words, some darn right hard to swallow, be assured it will all come back around. Things said will be unsaid and said again. Trust me.
Mars is gearing up to take the dance floor backwards. The planet of action will switch places with Mercury just when we think it is safe to go back in the water. If you think things are darn right out-of-control now, huh, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Remember to remind others of the importance of staying healthy. What you eat and how you treat your body is up to you. This is still October, breast cancer awareness is everywhere. Fight the fight.

Have the best day everyday. Have a great weekend!!!

Dreams give us answers

One of the important parts of our lives is the way we dream. Many folk claim not to dream while others have vivid recollections of their sleep adventures. Dreams can serve a purpose in our lives by answering questions that we ask when awake. When you dream for example of seeing an old friend at the beach you need to ask yourself: how did I feel? Was I happy to be with this person? What emotions were being exercised. That is the key. Pay attention to your dreams. Many can be foretelling. Learn to use the sights and sounds of your dreams daily.

This was a Good Day. Perhaps you experienced some communication issues but remember everything talked about in this three week period will have to be discussed again at a later date.

There are many ways to make you and your family healthy. watch your diet and stay fit. Keep yourself aware of the measures you can take to prevent cancer.

Having everything you need

A very wise woman once said, "Remember that you have everything that you need." So what does that mean? Do we arrive on this planet like a fully loaded car just off the lot? Or do we come unassembled with directions in multiple languages?
Truth is I think it is the latter. We come fully equipped. How we use what we've been given is a whole other thing. How we process what happens to us is mostly perception. This can cause equipment failure and the need for a "lemon" law.
Perhaps with Mercury dancing backwards in the cosmos we can take advantage of the opportunity to redo some of our past perceptions. Let's begin a little exercise in reviewing those occasions when the "wrong" message was sent out and the outcome was less than satisfactory. Go ahead. This is the time. You've got a cosmic window.

Today was a Good Day all day, no blips.

Give someone you love a hug. Do today all the things you've thought of...don't put them off.

Good Things happen...

Yes, today is a Good Day. The moon has settled into the earth sign of Capricorn and will stay there until early Friday morning. Capricorn also figures prominent in the cosmos because the forgotten-cast-aside planet of Pluto has moved into this sign. For those who believe that Pluto no longer holds power you should think again. (A usual thing to do when Mercury is backward). Pluto energy causes serious upheaval. Just ask all the Sagittarius people that you know. All of them will have a heart breaking-life changing story to tell. If Pluto blows things up and transforms from the ashes for us to rise up again, then Capricorn's energy will for sure affect our values, our traditions our rock solid foundations. It will affect the climb to the top and the rubble at our feet, our resources and our savings. More on that to come...

Do you believe that good things come to good people? Sometimes that is a difficult pill to swallow, especially when you've been very good and poop continues to fall out of your sky. Suggestion: Be good for good itself and all that comes from playing it forward WILL come back to you.

Be aware of how you can make an impact on the fight against cancer. October is only one month out of twelve months. Don't stop making the fight a priority.

Have the best day every day.

People you meet...

Today I met a man with a rare form of cancer. I'd actually met him several months ago and thought then that I'd never see him again. I was wrong. He came up to me, hand extended and asked about my book. He said, "Is it a movie yet?" Now, why would he remember that? Why when he has so little time left and a brain like mush from all the treatments and medication? I don't know the answer, but he did. Funny how people come onto your path, some for only a few minutes and others for months, years or decades. Each encounter has its own meaning, its own purpose. This stranger came today, a day perhaps when I needed a boost, a reminder of what I'd accomplished and encouragement for the future. Even if his future was bleak, this man made time today to throw light onto my future. If he was another angel, then I say, thank you for today was a Good Day. Moon in Sagittarius offers optimism and a bigger view of the horizon.

Cancer is not about someone else, it is about all of us. October makes us be aware. Fight the fight.

Good Day

We are all crawling out from under the weekend. We experienced a long lull between moons and it seemed like we were holding our breath under water. How many sentences have been interrupted and how many misunderstandings have occurred in a just a few days? What has come across your desk that passed there before? What do you have to review or redo? All this in only a few days. The good news is that since 3pm edt today we felt more optimistic about what needs to get done and how we intend to accomplish this or that. Starting something new may not be the best idea but revising a plan does sound right. The Sagittarius moon asks us to open our minds to new ideas and broaden our views. Tolerance is on the menu. Always use your sense of humor in situations that require attention. This energy stays with us until Tuesday night about 8:30pm.

Mercury is going Backward...It's still a Good Day

It may be more apparent to some than to others, but something is definitly up in the cosmos. You get signals. Those weird things that happen that kind of mess up you plans and you just shake your head and say what is going on here? When Mercury retrogrades, which is three times a year, this kind of stuff happens. You know the bumper sticker: "S--t happens!", well it uually occurs during some backward planetary time. If all this cosmic babble has your head twisting don't fret. Communication is just a bit off, and I don't really expect you to understand completely or for that matter to "get it" just yet. Remember to speak with caution over the next few weeks. Gather your information lest something goes missing. Signing paper work or contracts, buying and selling anything vaguely similar to the afore mentioned should be done only if there is no choice or if you have been at "whatever" before. Redo's are most often dominant and so whatever came before or at the last retrograde (June 15-July 9) could be up for review again.
For the Good Day mention...Moon is in Scorpio since the wee hours of the morning. There are many secrets but none that can't be found out or confessed. Mystery is a game Scorpio likes to play and the exposure is all about Scorpio's purpose. Corporate activities and anything to do with the deep ends of the ocean are underlined. Enjoy the intensity of this moon...no other sign allows you to go as deep.

Talk about Saturn....Good Day

Wednesday dawns as another Good Day, at least until a little bit after 7pm est. All efforts to come to a resolution, a compromise or other type of negotiation should take place before the moon does its shift. In the early-early morning a little after 2am, the moon will sparkle in Scorpio. Remember how intense Scorpio can be, how sensual and downright sexy. The truth is that Scorpio can seduce. All manner of seduction is very possible. Watch for people who have their own agenda and invite you, only to discard later. Scorpio can be manipulative because of the need to control. This sign works well in the corporate worl. Power is the name of the game.

As for Saturn, the taskmaster is now part of the clean-up committe. The mess left behind for the last two plus years must be turned out of chaos into some kind of sobriety. Look at the world and see how this continues to play out. Organization is the key word and detail isn't bad either. Be mindful of these two words as this is how the next two years will be remembered.

Saturn has a twenty-nine year cycle. This makes the age of 29 a major turning point in our life. Think back and say it isn't so. Now add twenty-nine years to that and you have 58, which again usually rocks us. Pay attention to cycles. Yes, twenty-nine is one, but there are others. Each brings its own genius to the table.

Fight the fight against breast cancer. Save a life...yours. Be deligent in taking care.

New Moon in Libra...Good Day

New Moon in Libra is smiling down upon us and funny how that sweet face in the sign of love has a way with our hearts. Lyrics stick in our brain and play out their melody all day. For those who are wise in the way of the cosmos you will harness this energy and put it to good use in your relationships. Having a partner is a beautiful thing. The Creator did not mean for us to be solo. Noah filled the Ark two-by-two. The next two days are all about tandem activities. Treasure this Venus ruled moon and fall in love if you are not already there. For those who want to conduct business use this energy to negotiate. Compromise is on the table. Decisons may not be easy but perhaps that is not the goal over the next 36 hours.

It is apparent that "something" is up in the cosmos. We all have this feeling of being interrupted. Stops and starts. Unfinished business. From 7am EST until 2pm the No Day is in force. What of a No Day? Simple logic, don't push the planet. Do not have that all important meeting or conversation or make a definite plan. We, of course, must go along with what happens but for the most part it is better to wait until the afternoon or until tomorrow for better results. Remember that Mercury is slowing down and will do a backward roll by friday. This is beginning already as quirky stuff is happening to our cars, our emails or phone calls and our conversations. The moon shifts into Libra this afternoon allowing us to have one-on-one meetings or conversations that get to the heart of the matter. Use this energy to negotiate.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Monday morning and many folk have today off. The moon remains in the earth sign of Virgo allowing this week to begin with a Good Day. Most success will come through attention to detail. Virgo requires perfection. This is the goal. Along that path is much berating of self for imperfection and failure to lift the bar or raise standards. Virgo folk are not generous with praise. Most often shy, Virgo would rather stay in the background attending to the crossing of t's then be shoved into the limelight. Act out your fantasies with a Virgo Moon because despite the criticism, this moon can get down-right kinky. Prepare yourself -if you must- for a No Morning tomorrow on Tuesday. If your work week begins tomorrow don't expect much until after 2pm.

Wear your pink ribbons and continue to fight-the-fight against breast cancer. Raise your awareness. At a recent reading of "Belly Of The Whale" it became apparent that many people have an experience to share. Be a good listener.

Otober Breast Cancer month and Belly of the Whale goes public

I did it!!! I went public with Belly of the Whale. I read an excerpt from the first chapter at a literary event tonight. The response was incredible. The whole place was dead silent during the reading. Keep in mind that the location was a Starbucks with high traffic. When finished the applause was deafening. I kid you not. People came up to me single and in groups with their own cancer stories, with questions, with praise and with when did you say I could buy it. Okay so if this is only the beginning I am extremely pleased. With the moon in Leo self expression was no problem. Even the shyest person was able to speak up. Use the Leo Moon on Friday, it is a Good Day to have fun, take a chance, and play with young people. Remember that October is breast cancer awareness month and sport those pink ribbons, please.

Pay attention to your dreams...

Just a few words to get your Good Day started...the moon being in the sign of Taurus gives us permission to seek what we desire. Taurus being an earth sign makes us think of desire as something physical, something material. In fact the moon in Taurus might have us spending money on material things that are more costly. Taurus is tactile, ignites the senses, so wherever you are remember to smell the flowers, touch the petals, listen to the birds, and look up at the sky.
Tomorrow the moon slips into Gemini about 10:30am, so early in the morning that we will barely notice. However once awake the shift brings much activity and communication. Gemini moon asks us to keep busy, transportation from A to B becomes important. The writer, Truman Capote was born on September 30, eighty-three years ago. Mr. Capote was a master at bringing the heinous acts of crime onto the page. "In Cold Blood" still resonates in many of us. I wonder how much of Mr. Capote's writings came from his dreams. His genius was dealing with reality but where and how did he use his dreams in his work?
For all of us it is important to pay attention to our night dreams. So many questions from our waking life can be answered through dreams. One level of interpretation uses emotion to dissect meaning. How did we feel during the dream? How did we feel when we wake? Is this emotion trying to come to the surface in our daily life? One of the central characters in Belly Of The Whale is Willy Wu. He is described as "a gift from God", a special child. He is not identified as autistic but one might assume that he is. Willy becomes a hero through an act that the medical community might agree he is not capable of. This leads readers to wonder if there is anyway to know decisively what someone such as Willy would do to save a another person's life. As for the status of a Good Day this is one. As a matter of interest today is better than Good. Moon in Taurus makes the moon feel comfortable and allows folk to ask for what they need. This feeling continues until the wee hours of the 30th. For more Good Days go to: www.celestialblueprints.com

Harvest Moon announces Breast Cancer Awareness

The Full Moon in Aries is at 3:45pm EST. This one should be a howler, absolutely magnificent. Two years out of maybe three the Harvest Moon is in September, other times in October. So consider this a special event. Now remember full moons make people a little bit unstable, crazy even. Vampires, again. Emergency rooms are brimming with folk who go bump in the night and try to fly on broomsticks. Attempt to keep from being too impatient and remain attentive but not aggressive. Aries Moon puts us on fire; kind of like a rocket booster. For more insight go to: www.celestialblueprints.com

October is Breast Cancer awareness month. Sport your pink ribbons and join with others to fight this devastating disease. "Belly Of The Whale" is about a thirty-eight year old woman with breast cancer. It takes you through twenty-four hours in her life. Check out: www.kunati.com/linda-merlino/ and while there read about the other books from Kunati now available. "Belly Of The Whale" will be on bookshelves March 1, 2008. It is dedicated to my mother, a breast cancer survivor, and to all the people who have died, survived and shared with a loved one the heartbreak of cancer.

Make everyday the best day of your life.

Moon In Pisces

If you want some sympathy or need to use a crying towel to make your point, today and tomorrow are Good Days. So do you get what I'm attempting to say? Use the energy of the day well. Pisces is often over-worked, taken advantage of or the martyr. Turn these negatives into positives with some clever thinking. Remember the half-full glass? For more Cosmic Gossip go to: www.celestialblueprints.com

Now for the reading part of your day. Next Thrusday I get to read an excerpt from the first chapter of my debut novel "Belly Of The Whale". This will be my first public reading. Wish me luck and send good energy. The moon will be in Leo that night. Great time to stand on stage and self-express. For more good books: www.kunati.com/linda-merlino/

Bitten by a vampire

Cosmic newsflash: Saturn and Venus are dancing a tight tango. This intensity is very draining on sweet Venus. For many of us it feels like a vampire has taken a huge bite out of our necks. Drinking our blood seems appropriate for how we are feeling in the romance department or financially. Of course not everyone shares the faed out of color and energy. Some folk thrive on this kind of stuff, usually these are the people doing the draining. What to do? Be patient, get a lot of rest, don't break up with your lover, after the 15th the planet will do the doing for you.

Remember to read. There are so many new titles coming from Kunati Publishing, the best thing to do is check out: www.kunati.com/linda-merlino/ and navigate through all the selections. Keep that thought through until March 1, 2008 when Belly Of The Whale is released.

Even No Days should be our friends. Use everyday well and everyday will give you something back.

Do you believe in angels?

One thing I consider on these Good Days, especially a moon in Aquarius when the unusual is norm, is the high incidence of angel experiences. What do I mean by this? Actually my favorite term is non-entity, but same-same no matter. Point is that these non-entitiies are looking out for me and you and they send messages via odd channels. I've grown accustom to these entities showing up in some way or another and have learned that the best way to acknowledge their presence is to say...thank you. My suggestion for others is to do the same. When that little voice gets loud in your head, when something you've thought about materializes, when a complete stranger rolls down their window, not to ask directions, but to tell you something they have observed, a very good thing that you thought had gone unnoticed, thank your favorite angel for finding a way to communicate.

Every day is a Good Day to read. Remember to pick up a book. Go to www.kunati.com/linda-merlino/ to view my book and see the Kunat line-up.

Happy 60th Birthday to Stephen King

So even Stephen King can turn 60. I admit I have read many of Mr. King's novels and have found them good reads. I keep his book on writing close by because I find I can simply open to any page and get a chunk of wisdom. As a writer, these snippets of brilliance are like buried treasure.
The weather in the Northeast has been picture perfect and very good for inspiration. If you are reading remember to check out Kunati Publishers. Recent buzz has been about Lynn Hoffman's "bang Bang" and Rosemary Poole-Carter's "Women of Magdaline". Check out the reviews for Lynn Hoffman on Amazon and Foreward has just published a great review for Rosemary.
My book deals with a loss of hope. "Belly of the Whale" releases on March 1, 2008. The main character has breast cancer and the story deals with 24 hours in her life. The day she gives up, gives in to the beast...cancer.

For those keeping track of the Good Days...this is one. Expect the unexpected and do the unexpected. Use this energy well. Technical stuff has a high success rate. So blog, and email like crazy.

Have the Best Day everyday.

Good Day

Yes, the Good Day Moon is in effect. She will carry over into the wee hours of Saturday morning. Friday should prove to be pretty much the same as today. Don't know how you all faired but I did well. Earned money and spent money. If you want to be successful tomorrow please keep in mind that the moon in Capricorn is all about material things. People tend to get bogged down in taking themselves too serious. Others can be a bit "cut-throat". Watch your back (literally) and take your time. Be diligent and remain rooted to the moment.

Too tired to read...

On the days I'm too tired to read, I audio read. So this equates to one of those days. I hope that all of you got through the afternoon without attempting to right any wrongs or promote a successful venture. Tomorrow will be a better day for all of that. Just be prepared for straight faces and an all business attitude. Be serious.

My debut novel Belly of the Whale ( to be released 3/1/08) has a wonderful charcter named Willy Wu. Willy is that special person we meet everyday in the market or lining up grocery carts. We do not think very much about the Willy Wu's we meet, but after reading Belly Of The Whale you will.

Look for other titles published by Kunati Publishing that are on bookshelves. Never let a day go by without reading. Make even No Days the best day of your life.

Debut Novel deals with Breast Cancer

Good Day...that Sagittarius Moon keeps us all fairly optimistic It will cover us until about 1pm tomorrow then settles back and coasts until 8pm. So during that time do not discuss anything that requires significant results, do not make an important phone call, ask for a raise, mail a question that you want a specific answer for...do you get it? After 8pm expect a more serious view and more business. Dry humor prevails...

My debut novel "Belly Of The Whale" being released March 1, 2008 deals with a young woman who has breast cancer. In this past Sunday's NY Times, front page story focused on a young woman with the BRCA Gene. Not identified as such in my novel, the main character's mother and grandmother have died from breast cancer. Not to exploit this awful disease but so many women and their families will be able to relate to the meaning of Belly Of The Whale. "To give up hope, is to give up life."

Food for Cosmic thought

Something interesting in the cosmos has recurred. Five years ago a man named Michael Skakel was convicted of murder. A killing that took place in 1975 when he was fifteen years old. The verdict came on June 7, 2002, twenty-seven years later. The planet Mercury was retrograde on June 7, 2002. This occurs about three times a year for three weeks each time. During this backward dance of the Winged Messenger it is often likely that decisions made will later be challenged. In the case Of Mr. Skakel there is purported to be new evidence and the request has been made for a new trial. Just food for cosmic thought for today.

Mantra: Read. My novel releasing on March 1, 2008 deals with a loss of hope. Most of us can relate to this on some level. The main character has breast cancer and believes she will die from the disease. Those who have experienced the ravages of cancer will know that hope does not die easy. Readers will discover, that just when you think you know what will happen...it doesn't.
In the meantime check out Kunati Publishers for their current released titles.www.kunati.com/linda-merlino/

No Night

Truth is this is the kind of night you would be better off going to bed early. Some nights are like that. The moon has gone over the edge and is in the black space of the cosmos waiting to slip into Sagittarius. This will occur at just after 8am tomorrow. So go tobed early and get up late. Huh! you say...most of us have jobs. Okay so you might over sleep but it won't matter because your boss can't find his keys and your room mate spilled coffe on her best skirt and had to return home to change. See how this works? The Sagittarius moon asks us to have a good sense of humer, speak many languages and practice optimism.

Mantra: Read, okay? Don't turn on the TV...buy a good book. Select a new title from Kunati's Fall releases or Spring 07 releases. AND...Belly Of The Whale releases March 1, 2008...
So why am I posting this blog at a void moon? No expectations...got to go with it...
